The National Championships started today in Pataias at 15 hours. Amaro Antunes was ranked third in the Individual Time Trial in Under-23 and went up to the podium to receive the bronze medal.

The athlete completed the 27,8-kilometer journey 35 seconds away from the winner Fábio Silvestre (Leopard-Trek).

The Portuguese competition program continued at 17 pm where the CRI took place in Elites, in which the athletes from Tavira to participate were Diogo Nunes, Luís Silva, and David Livramento.

In this race Diogo Nunes made 7th place, with 2 minutes and 11 seconds of difference to the winner José Gonçalves (Onda/Boavista). Luís Silva finished in 11th place, at 3 minutes and 47 seconds, and David Livramento in 12th place, at 5 minutes and 5 seconds.

Today's balance is quite positive as the Tavira Cycling Club has won two bronze medals, through athletes from Carmim/Prio/Tavira, Alejandro Marque and Amaro Antunes.

However, the competition is not over yet and tomorrow, Saturday, the online tests for the Junior and Cadet categories will begin. On Sunday it's time for the Under-23s and Elites to go on the road for the online race.
