Children from all 3rd and 4th grades of EB1 in the municipality of Portimão are celebrating the end of the year of curriculum enrichment activities, at parties that run until June 14 at the Municipal Auditorium of Portimão, always between 1900 and 20:30 pm.

The first party took place yesterday and involved around 150 children from all 3rd and 4th year classes of EB1 Coca Maravilhas and Vendas, followed on June 11 by 200 students from EB1 Major David Neto.

Each group will perform a performance where the existing articulation between the various curriculum enrichment activities is demonstrated, which are English, Music, Theater, Physical and Sports Activity and Playful-Expressive Activities.

For the 12th of June, the celebration of around 250 children from the EB1 of Pedra Mourinha and Chão das Donas is scheduled, while the next day it will be the turn of the 150 kids who attend the EB1 of Alvor, Montes de Alvor, Figueira and Mexilhoeira Grande, ending the festivities on June 14th with the 200 children of the Pontal EB1.

In total, nearly 950 children will be involved in the project promoted by Ensinar a Sorrir – Family Support Association, within the scope of the partnership with the Municipality of Portimão and the municipality's School Groups, which has existed for five years.

 

"Smiling Tagrugby”

Also in this context, next Saturday, June 9th, the event “Tagrugby a Sorrir” will take place at the Municipal Stadium of Portimão, in which around 250 children from those ten schools will participate.

The initiative is part of the “Multisports School” project promoted by that association in partnership with the Portuguese Rugby Federation, with the objective of promoting interaction between the entire school community, with special emphasis on guardians and other family members.
