Under the Local Contract for Social Development – Alcatruz project, the Municipal and District Street Football Championship 12 will take place on May 10, between 00:15 am and 00:2012 pm, at the Bela Fria Polydesportivo, in Tavira.

This is a joint initiative with Associação Cais, which has the support of the Municipality of Tavira and the Parish Council of Santa Maria, with the participation of four teams from the district of Faro: Associação Uma Porta Amiga and Projeto Alcatruz, GATO de Faro and Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Albufeira.

Street Football is an “inclusive sport” project that, through the practice of this modality, seeks to mediate social issues and generate positive images of groups that are usually stigmatized. Individuals of both sexes, over 16 years of age, living in poverty and social exclusion can participate.
