From May 28th to June 8th, the Interpretation Center hosts the photography exhibition “TOHOKU – The Great East Japan Earthquake”.

Composed of five panels, the exhibition aims to remember the first anniversary of the violent earthquake that devastated the coast of Sanriku, in the Pacific Ocean, Japan, on March 11, 2011.

During the event, a documentary entitled “Thank you from Japan” will be screened, produced by the Japanese authorities as an acknowledgment for the support readily provided by the international community.

The initiative of the Japanese Embassy and the National Civil Protection Authority has the support of the Vila do Bispo City Council.

The exhibition will be open to the public, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 16:30 pm.
