The Independent Autarchic Movement With Faro in the Heart (CFC) expresses «astonishment and deep indignation» at the fact that the deputies of the PSD, PS and CDS elected by the Algarve have voted «for the continuation of the tolls» in Via do Infante.

Last Friday, the PCP and Left Bloc resolution projects, which defended the abolition of tolls on Via do Infante, were rejected with votes against or abstentions by the parliamentarians of the PSD, PS and CDS.

The two socialist deputies from the Algarve – Miguel Freitas and João Soares – abstained, as did two other bench colleagues, although in the PS there was even a deputy who voted in favor of the project of the communists and blocists.

As for the Algarve deputies of the PSD – Mendes Bota, Cristóvão Norte, Pedro Roque and Elsa Cordeiro – and of the CDS – Artur Rêgo – voted against the abolition of tolls.

However, the CFC, which recalls that "it has always fought against tolls, criticizing those who support or consent to them and praising those who have supported", considers that "the sense of responsibility and loyalty to voters forced the contestation, as it is the only measure that it can have immediate positive effects in the region, given the dramatic unemployment, which should be around 25 to 30%, in a total of about 60.000 people, in 200.000 active”.

The CFC considers that, "like AMAL's unacceptable positions, these are bad partisan practices and profound inconsistencies in trying to deceive voters."

And he lists these "incoherencies": "the PSD calls for an urgent plan to fight unemployment, but in the opposite direction the deputies vote for the tolls", "the PS goes on saying it is against, but then accepts the continuation", "the CDS does communicated against and his deputy votes in favour'.

The CFC considers that «the moment is of drama» and therefore «appeals to the Government and all regional agents, so that they want to understand that there is no option for the suspension of tolls. Everything else is a hot cloth, which will further sink the region and the families».
