The University National Karting Championship takes place next Wednesday, May 09th, at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, at the Autodromo, in Portimão.
Aimed at the national academic community, the activity aims to bring together university motor sport lovers and promote a different interaction between students from the various universities, under the initiative of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve and accreditation by the Academic Federation of University Sports.
The competition is divided into female, male and team categories. In a competition, in which participation is exclusively for university students, the highlight was the presence of students enrolled from the north to the south of the country, representing various national higher education institutions.
The local representation is given to the best classified students in the Trophy Rector Universidade do Algarve, held last March, at the Algarve Indoor Kart Center.
Altogether, three male representatives plus one female will make up the team at the University of Algarve.
