It is already on the 2nd and 3rd of June that the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve welcomes the caravan of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), which this year leaves the emblematic Porto track and heads for the Algarve sun.

Tiago Monteiro continues to be the Portuguese star in a Championship widely known for the constant fights between opponents who star in mind-blowing races.

The AIA received this competition for the first time in 2010, in an event that was marked by the victory of Tiago Monteiro, which this year is expected to be repeated again. The Portuguese driver did not have an easy start to the season, but it is almost certain that he will arrive in Portimão with a new engine in his SEAT Leon, which will give him the status of favorite driver to win.

But it's already known that Chevrolet's armada made up of champion and current Championship leader Yvan Muller, Alain Menu and Robert Huff, won't budge an inch. Not to mention the BMW drivers, who have also proved to be very strong. But, in Portugal, attention is focused on what is Portuguese and the motto of this competition focuses on supporting Tiago Monteiro.

But not only WTCC will live this weekend. The Portuguese Circuit Championship will be in action. The start of the season has been very lively, with grills full of cars, ranging from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini or Audi, and some of the best Portuguese drivers today, such as José Pedro Fontes, César Campaniço, Miguel Barbosa, Patrick Cunha, among many others.

On track will also be the AutoGP Championship that brings, in a weekend of Grand Touring cars, the brilliance of formulas.

And to make everything even more special on a weekend that is expected to be typical of summer, a series of activities are being prepared inside and outside the paddock.

The AIA appeals to the people of the Algarve and the rest of the country to support Tiago Monteiro in this fight for victory.

Tickets can be purchased until May 20th with a 20% discount.
