Alkyne Good (Faro), with the fados “Povo que Lavas no Rio” and “Biografia do Fado”, and Nelson Seromenho (Bordeira), with “Fado do Cacilheiro” and “Os Putos” were the big winners of the 4th round of the 13th edition of the Concurso de Fado from the municipality of Vila do Bispo, which took place on May 12 at the Budens Instruction and Recreation Society, in the presence of 90 people.
These fadistas will join the nine finalists selected in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds, who will now play in the Final next Saturday, at 21 pm, at the Cultural Center of the county seat.
Of the eleven competitors in the Final, the best five will be selected by the Jury, who will compete against each other in the Finals on May 26, at the Recreative Society of Barão de São Miguel, which counts on the performance of guest fado singer Ana Moura.
On the sidelines of the Fado Contest, the initiative had the special participation of Mariana Santos, aged 15, from Sagres, who performed the fados “Os Búzios” and “Feira da Ladra”.
