The Câmara de Loulé will screen a didactic film entitled “The Whales, the Dolphins and the Sharks”, in the multipurpose room of the Mira Serra Kindergarten, in the city of Loulé, to mark World Oceans Day – 8 June.
This action aims to inform and raise awareness about the importance of preserving fauna and flora, protecting populations of some species, as well as their importance.
The oceans cover two-thirds of the Earth's surface and, through interaction with the atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere, play an important role in shaping the climatic conditions that make life possible on our planet. The oceans are not only the habitat of vast numbers of plants and animals, they also provide human beings with food, energy and multiple resources.
