The two timed practice sessions of the Spanish Moto2 Championship in Navarra, where Portuguese rider Miguel Praia is taking part this season, did not have the expected outcome due to minor mishaps. Praia will leave for the second race of the season in 13th position on the grid.
Adverse weather conditions were one of the main causes, with only the first qualifying partly taking place with dry ground: “Unfortunately everything has been very unstable in terms of weather conditions. My time was achieved in the first practice and I had no chance to improve in the second, which was completely rained”, began by explaining.
“I was initially running in the top eight, but I ended up running out of gas and that didn't allow me to do better. In the afternoon I was among the top five, but with the rain I ended up falling and of course I lost positions. Anyway, it's not the best scenario, but I hope that tomorrow everything goes better with or without rain”, said Miguel Praia.
