Afternoon party in Portimão. Portimonense beat Freamunde and left the relegation zone of the Liga Orangina in front of around four thousand fans in the stands of the Estádio Municipal de Portimão. Luís Carlos and Organista scored the goals that dictated the fifth victory of Alvinegros in the last six games.
Portimonense entered the field knowing they had to win and, therefore, there was some anxiety in the opening minutes. As early as the 4th minute, following a corner, Sérgio Nunes threw the ball into Serginho's goal post.
From the middle of the first half, the team took over the reins of the game and began to create danger near Tó Figueira's goal. On minute 22, Luís Carlos went down the left, overtook two opponents and shot to defend the Freamunde goalkeeper.
If he failed the first, the second, Luís Carlos really opened the scoring. In the 35th minute, the Portimonense forward took advantage of a lost ball after an insistence move down the left side and crossed the ball for the first goal of the game.
Freamunde entered the first half close to the goal, and returned to enter the same way in the second half. In the 47th minute, João isolated himself in the face of Serginho, but the goalkeeper alvinegro denied the goal to the away team.
With Freamunde looking for the goal, the game became more open and Portimonense had plenty of room to counterattack. However, despite managing to reach the opposing area with ease, the Alvinegra team sinned in the finishing, especially Lucas, in an uninspired afternoon in front of goal.
In the 85′ minute, Tarcísio got involved on the floor with Eridson and attacked the Portimonense centre-back. Pedro Proença showed the red card directly to the Freamunde player.
In numerical advantage, the Algarvian team also managed to confirm the victory with the second goal of the game in the last of the six minutes of discount given by the referee. Organista, who had entered during the second half, took advantage of a pass from Rafa and shot low, inside the area, confirming the final result.
With this victory, Portimonense leaves the relegation zone in exchange for Freamunde. The alvinegros now have 30 points, one above the waterline.
Solidarity campaign fills four vans for the Senhora do Amparo Social Refectory
It wasn't just Portimonense who secured the victory this afternoon. As part of the Portimonense Solidário campaign, four food vans were raised for the Senhora do Amparo Social Refectory.
Those who watched Portimonense – Freamunde – and there were almost 4000 spectators – brought food to donate to the social cafeteria that serves meals, daily, for more than one hundred people in the city of Portimão.

It was a fair victory, but a painful one. The team accused some anxiety about the responsibility of the game. After the goal, we lacked some foresight to end the game sooner, which, for one reason or another, we couldn't.
Exiting the descent zone was the immediate objective. There are still 3 days left, we have to continue this good series.
I always said that the championship would be resolved in the end, but if possible, we will try to ensure maintenance before the last round.
