A man and a woman, 55 and 33 years old, were arrested in the act this Monday at the end of the afternoon in Monte Gordo, by the Criminal Investigation Nucleus of the GNR of Tavira, with the support of the Territorial Command of Faro, for the crime of drug trafficking.

The detainees were in possession of 5,7 grams of pure heroin, about 57 individual doses, which, according to the GNR, "would later be treated and adulterated in order to increase its amount".

Three knives were also seized, a firearm and respective ammunition, two mobile phones and several cards, a gas stove used to treat narcotics; a mill used to adulterate the narcotic and increase its quantity; three scales, two of which were digital, scissors, blades and medicine boxes, used to “cut” the doses, as well as plastic cutouts, to individualize the doses for sale.

The two detainees will be present today at the Judicial Court of Vila Real de Santo António, to apply the coercive measures deemed convenient.
