Despite the bad weather that was felt before the start of the action, the approximately 250 volunteers who attended the concentration sites made this cleanup possible, with their determination and willful participation.

According to data provided by Fagar and Algar, it is estimated that more than 7500 kilos of garbage (plastics, wood, glass and paper) will have been collected in the various areas of intervention: Praia de Faro (Nascente and Barrinha), Ramalhete, City of Faro, beach of FaroIsle of Culatra.

The City Council of Faro thanks the efforts of the partners and all the people who participated in this event, transmitting the message of preservation of the natural resources of Ria Formosa.

The organization also calls for civic awareness and citizen awareness of this environmental issue, since domestic waste has been collected in greater quantities in residential areas.
