On the 31st of March and the 1st of April, at its headquarters in Quinta de Marim, in Olhão, RIAS – Center for the Recovery and Investigation of Wild Animals, organizes an Introduction to Nature Photography and Video Course.

This course is aimed at all those interested in nature photography and video, who want to start in this area or consolidate their knowledge.

The trainers are Nuno Miguel Alexandre Branco and Pedro Ramos. Participants must bring their own camera or video camera to use in the training. Until March 25, registration costs 40 euros for the general public. Includes participation in the course and respective certificate – CD with documentation.

Nature photography and video offer a wide range of interesting subjects, such as plants, animals, fungi, natural landscapes or even geology.

The art of photography is something that is learned and developed with a lot of practice, however, there are many techniques, and some of them difficult, that need theoretical training and personal support to help you evolve.

Although the fundamental principles of photography have been established for decades, technological advances have made it possible for amateur photographers to make great improvements in obtaining images at relatively low cost, which, in the recent past, was reserved for professional photographers.

On the other hand, the introduction of video as a new tool for capturing nature films is still a little known technique and little practiced nowadays.

However, its potential is enormous and given the emerging large amount of new equipment increasingly accessible to amateur camera operators, taking a photography and video course is highly recommended, whether this activity is just a hobby or has a role most important in your life.
