Blue Dot is the third band to perform at the Auditório Municipal de Olhão as part of the Audi Jazz and Soul Olhão, next Saturday, March 17, at 21:30 pm.
The group consists of Ricardo Matos (vocals and guitar), Pedro Gil (guitar), Paulo da Silva (double bass) and Vasco Fialho (drums). This is followed, on March 24, by Aurea's show.
Blue Dot formed in 2010 with the four musicians, who already shared a musical complicity by participating in several common projects.
At the same time, the quartet contributes their individual experiences in other side projects, thus giving an open and engaging sound to the versions played by this Blues Roots project.
Blue Dot makes us relive the great classics of this genre, where the guitars are present and constantly dialogue and where the themes are sometimes recomposed, without ever detracting from the sacred raw material of the great Blues classics.
“Crossroads blues”, “third degree” or the Willie Dixon classic “hoochie coochie man”, are some of the themes recreated by Blue Dot.
They are blues in its purest essence, recreated and improvised, making this musical genre a passion for musicians and the public.
