Between March 30th and April 1st, Portimão Arena hosts the fair “Algarve Genuíno – Aromas, Flavors and Regional Knowledge”, where more than fifty exhibitors will gather with a representative showcase of genuine Algarve products.

In the same space, the public can find handicrafts, jams and jellies, sweets, sausages, dried fruits, gastronomy, liqueurs, spirits and regional wines, honey and derivatives, aromatic and medicinal plants, biological products and salt, among other specialties.

Highlight for the thematic colloquia scheduled for the 30th and 31st of March, in which the quality of Algarve wines and the certification of regional products, and the way in which they can contribute to tourism and the economy of the region, will be the main topics to be debated by renowned experts.

In parallel to the fair, there will be an Algarve wine show, in which local producers will promote the quality and excellence of their harvests, with live cooking demonstrations, decanting and tasting of wines, as well as the performance of traditional music groups .

At this event, the best regional flavors can also be tasted in the tavern area, strictly decorated with the recreation of the Algarve 'houses', where traditional snacks and other Algarve products will be served. A basket with regional products, resulting from the contribution, will be drawn daily. of the present exhibitors themselves.

The little ones have not been forgotten and, as such, there will be a children's area that will work on the 1st floor of Portimão Arena during the opening hours of the Fair, with a playground, ball pool, labyrinths, inflatable and other attractions for children among the 4 and 9 years old.

The doors of Portimão Arena open on the first day between 17:00 pm and 24:00 am, while on the 31st the fair can be visited from 11:00 am to 24:00 am and on Sunday between 11:00 am and 22:00 pm.

The value of the tickets is 1 euro, with free entry for children up to 12 years old, and it should be noted that 10% of the event's ticket office will revert to a social solidarity institution in Portimão.

Portimão Arena is served by lines L11 and L14 of the Urban Circuit 'Vai e Vem', with a stop at the Fairs and Exhibitions Park, and by lines L2, L5 and L16, with a stop at Cardosas. in www.cm-portimao.pt.

The fair is organized by the Confraria dos Enófilos e Gastronómica do Algarve, in collaboration with the Municipality of Portimão and the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve.
