André Martins (Setúbal/Bestcofra Bicross Nucleus) is the new leader of the BMX Liberty Seguros Portugal Cup in the elite category, after winning the second stage of the competition, held this weekend, in Portimão.

The runner from the Setubal team was the best in the heat of the final, taking a performance that earned him the first place in the general classification, although with a short margin of one point over the second placed, the national champion, Dário Piedade (Team BMX Asas da Cidade) .

João Cabanita was the best junior, but this result did not allow him to dislodge Adrian Moldovan (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/Bestcofra) from the first place overall.

In cadets, Diego Osório (Clube Bicross de Portimão), racing at home, won the race and took the lead in the overall standings, with the same points as Fábio Ferreira (Team BMX Asas da Cidade).

Another runner from the team from Portimo, André Duarte, won among the youths, but Miguel Silvestre (Team BMX Asas da Cidade) maintains the leadership of the Cup. The children's Dmytro Drapalyuk (Clube Bicross de Portimão) and the initiated André Ribeiro won in their respective categories and thus assumed the lead in the trophy overall.

Benjamin Daniel Matos (Clube Bicross de Portimão), master Bruno Berto and cruiser Ivo Pires repeated the successes they had already achieved in the first stage of the Liberty Seguros Portugal Cup and reinforced their leadership in the respective categories.

In addition to the Liberty Seguros BMX Portugal Cup, the track in Portimão hosted, this Sunday morning, the second Supercrosse Open. Dário Piedade was the best in the main category. Fábio Ferreira won in Open 3, André Duarte undid the competition in Open 2 and Daniel Matos triumphed in Open 1.
