“Natália Correia and Agostinho da Silva: the nonconformists” is the theme of the lecture with Fernando Dacosta and Miguel Real, scheduled for the 11th, at 16:30 pm, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library, in Tavira.

Natália Correia (1923 – 1993) was an intellectual, poet and social activist, as well as the author of an extensive and varied work.

Member of the Assembly of the Republic, she intervened at the cultural and heritage level, in the defense of human and women's rights.

Agostinho da Silva (1906 – 1994) was a Portuguese poet, philosopher and essayist. In his thought, he considered Freedom the most important quality of the human being.

This action is an initiative of the International Association of Paremiology (AIP-IAP), which has the support of the Agostinho da Silva Association and the Municipality of Tavira.

Fernando Dacosta graduated in Romance Philology. However, he guided his career as a journalist, having worked in several newspapers and magazines.

A man of the left, he had the privilege of living with some of the greatest figures in Portuguese culture and politics of the XNUMXth century, namely, with Natália Correia and Agostinho da Silva.

Miguel Real holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Lisbon, a Master's in Portuguese Studies from the Universidade Aberta, a philosophy professor in secondary education, as well as a permanent contributor to the media.

In the rehearsal he stood out with several works and in the drama he also wrote some plays, all performed in theaters in Lisbon and surroundings.
