An information session about Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) is scheduled for February 24, between 14:30 pm and 16:30 pm, at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library, in Tavira.
This is an action promoted by DECO Algarve, with the support of the Municipality of Tavira, which aims to inform and clarify the population about the changes that are currently taking place in the context of the implementation of this new system, as well as ensuring the protection of the economic rights and interests of the consumer.
The Municipality of Tavira is one of those covered by the third phase of the cessation of analogue television broadcasts that occurs in the April 26.
DTT allows for an improvement in sound and image quality, as well as new features.
In general, televisions that are on sale in the market are prepared to receive DTT, so whoever has one of these devices will only have to connect the antenna cable and will start receiving digital television.
Anyone who owns a conventional television will have to buy a decoder and connect it to the equipment, thus being able to continue using it, without having to purchase a new one.
