A theater workshop, entitled “Dive into the world of books through theatre”, starts this February and ends in June. This initiative will take place on Wednesdays, at the Municipal Library of Silves, from 17:30 pm to 19:00 pm and is aimed at children between 6 and 10 years old, being promoted by Vanessa Simões.
Exploring the game and dancing, learning to improvise, building characters - these are some of the actions planned for this workshop, which will seek to guide aspiring young actors in the first steps in the world of staging and representation, making them understand what is happening. on and off a stage. Simultaneously, the development of languages and skills will be promoted, exercising verbal and body language, in addition to spontaneity and discipline, while at the same time some of the most important playwrights and their plays will be made known.
Vanessa Simões will be responsible for promoting this action. With a degree in Artistic Studies and having participated in several training actions in the area, this lover of arts in general and of children, recreates worlds from her own, from her readings, music and travels.
The sounds of the waves inspire her, as does the silence and inner peace she finds when she closes her eyes. He believes that to practice theater we have to descend to the condition of boys, as it is «when we are little that we don't have habits and it is in childhood that we “learn”», he says.
