The 1st Christmas Fair in Lagoa, promoted by the Parish Council of Lagoa, opens today (opening at 16 pm) and continues until December 11, in the Nave of the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Lagoa (Faracil's Nave).
The initiative is already being a success, due to the number of participations, which forced the transfer of the event from the originally planned location, Largo do Auditório, to FATACIL's Nave, with the participation of around 40 exhibitors, including merchants and artisans and city associations.
It will have a Social Christmas tree, for which the Parish Council calls on all visitors to take a toy, a book or food, to make the Christmas of a needy child happier.
So that parents can have fun at their leisure, there will be a Children's Park with inflatables and activities for the younger ones.
In addition to all this, there will be entertainment for all tastes, with the participation of artists from the municipality, where there is no lack of a Christmas Choir and a night of Fados. A way of also celebrating «the great achievement for Portuguese culture, which was the distinction by UNESCO of fado as an intangible heritage of humanity».
For all these reasons, the Parish Council of Lagoa urges you to "don't forget to visit us and do your Christmas shopping here".
