The heraldry of the kingdom of the Algarve will be made known by Jorge de Matos at the conference «The Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of the Algarve: from heraldic to symbolic iconography», which will take place on December 10, at 15 pm, at the Municipal Library of Albufeira.

The seminar "focuses on the heraldic representation of the Kingdom of the Algarve, from the XNUMXth century to contemporaneity" and includes "a historical synthesis of the geocultural identity of regional heraldry and an analysis of the symbology of its iconological message" made by the guest speaker, revealed the Chamber from Albufeira, in a press release.

Jorge de Matos has a degree in History from the University of Lisbon, has a postgraduate degree in Sociology of the Sacred and Religious Thought from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a PhD Honorary in History at the St. Stephen's Academy of Jerusalem of Sciences, Letters and Arts, São Paulo, Brazil.
