A Photographic Marathon with a guided tour, with the theme “Urban Evolution of the City of Albufeira” is scheduled for the 29th, Saturday.

Entries are free and will take place on the 29th at 9:30 am at Largo Eng.º Duarte Pacheco, in Albufeira.

This is an annual initiative, promoted by Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, within the scope of the Integrated Master in Architecture, and organized in the discipline of Urban Planning I (1st year/2nd cycle), which normally has the support of the Algarve Delegation of Southern Regional Section of the Order of Architects, and also of the Municipality that hosts it.

The marathon is now in its 4th edition, having previously had the support of the Municipality of Faro (Municipal Museum), in 2008, of the Town Hall of Lagos (Division of Culture), in 2009, and of the Town Hall of Lagos (Municipal Museum), in 2010.

«This event aims to promote knowledge of the urban evolution of the Algarve's cities, so it was thought relevant to open it to the general public», explains the organization, in charge of the architect Isabel Valverde.

In this way, anyone interested can accompany the visit and register for the photographic competition that will take place simultaneously.
