Representatives of companies and associations operating in different segments of the national real estate sector will go to Luxembourg to expose investment opportunities and the «low-cost» trends installed in this area in Portugal, which currently has the lowest average construction value per square meter in the Europe, in an event under the theme “Real Estate in Portugal: Four Exclusive Investment Examples”, which will take place on the 25th of October.

The secretary general of the Portuguese Embassy in Luxembourg, Rui Martinot Correia, will kick off the event that will feature the presentation of some of the most prominent projects in this area in Portugal, belonging to Entreposto Gestão Imobiliária (EGI) and Grupo Libertas: Lux Tavira and Benfica Stadium, Residencials da Baixa and Laranjal Design Villas, respectively.

Lux Tavira is “a product ready to book, with a unique location 25 minutes from the airport of Faro, with 12 kilometers of almost unexplored beaches and six golf courses”, according to the words of Rui Nogueira, representative of the EGI.

It is “an enterprise with excellent conditions to enjoy and to monetize in the short term rental market, with excellent occupancy rates”, adds Rui Nogueira.

It remains to be added that Entreposto Gestão Imobiliário is one of the areas of activity of Grupo Entreposto, a group whose main activity in Portugal continues to be the automobile, but which has increasingly differentiated itself in the real estate market due to its commitment to projects with unique finishes.

In turn, Pascal Gonçalves, representative of Grupo Libertas, will highlight the importance of revitalizing areas, such as the Condomínio Benfica Stadium that occupies the site of the old Estádio da Luz, and old buildings such as the Residências da Baixa building that give new life to the historic center of Lisbon.

Laranjal Design Villas is another product of the group that believes “to meet the expectations of the foreign market through programs in the Algarve that allow you to enjoy vacations and rental solutions that value the invested capital”.

Miguel Bettencourt da Camara, from BCA Advogados, will close the initiative through the demonstration of legal-fiscal instruments and the offer of banking products, preceded by a presentation of the banking activity in Luxembourg.

Taking place in a country with around 100.000 Portuguese, the Portuguese working population being the second largest foreign group, after the French, and the headquarters of many European banks, the organization aims to bring together a distinct target audience in Luxembourg, consisting of representatives from real estate agencies, sectorial associations, Portuguese people occupying top positions in international institutions, foreign individuals and those from Portuguese communities with investment and/or leasing power in Portugal.

Among the various issues under discussion, highlighting the agreement signed between the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and the Portuguese Republic that aims to avoid double taxation, reciprocal between countries, as well as the profitability of an investment in national real estate (one of the most attractive in Europe ) can provoke those who invest in Portugal.

“Real Estate in Portugal: Exclusive examples of investment” is organized by PSO Comunicação Estratégica, which accounts for more than 12 similar events held in the last two years.

Also this year, in May, the PSO held events of this kind, in Paris and Brussels, and initiatives are already scheduled for 2012, in Paris, Scandinavia, Brazil and China.
