18 races, more than 300 cars and 500 drivers celebrated the third edition of the Algarve Historic Festival at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the largest in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the largest in Continental Europe.

The race weekend was a success in terms of participation but also of the public, who do not miss an opportunity to see up close the machines that made the history of motor sport.

There were fierce races, lots of fights and excitement until you cut the finish line.

“This is an event for which we nurture a very special affection. And a proof that has a particular charisma and that takes us back to a past full of history. For the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve it is a pleasure to host the Algarve Historic Festival”, said Paulo Pinheiro, administrator of Parkalgar.

This event closes the AIA sporting season. In 2012 many more events are expected at the Portimão Circuit.
