These are Monchique, Silves, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, Tavira and Alcoutim. No municipality in the Algarve is currently at “maximum” risk.

In turn, eight municipalities have “high” risk – Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira, Faro, Olhão and Vila Real de Santo António, while the other two – Lagoa and Castro Marim, only present “moderate” risk.

In Baixo Alentejo, the municipality of Odemira also presents a “very high” risk, while Ourique and Almodôvar have a “high” risk and Mértola and Castro Verde have a “moderate” risk.

According to the National Civil Protection Authority, yesterday there were 373 fires across the country, which were fought by 4.126 workers and 1.165 vehicles, generating 53 air missions.

As for the maximum temperatures predicted, the Meteorology Institute says that Évora, Braga, Beja and Leiria will reach 34º degrees today.

Faro, in turn, will be at 29 degrees and Sagres at 28, even being one of the lowest maximum temperatures in mainland Portugal.
