Guided tours with or without poetry declamations, free entry to monuments and a concert are Lagos' way of marking the European Heritage Days.

As part of the “Anda Ver!” initiative, which the municipality of Lagos organized this year to commemorate, between 16 and 25 September, initiatives such as Mobility Week, Heart Day or Sunday Slow, as well as European Heritage Days. during this period, between the 23rd and 25th.

The European Heritage Days will take place in Portugal, on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September, this year under the theme “Heritage and Urban Landscape”, proposed by Igespar, as the national coordinator of this initiative.

The Journeys are an annual initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Union, which involves around 50 countries, in the context of raising European citizens' awareness of the importance of safeguarding Heritage.

In this sense, each country annually prepares a program of activities freely accessible to the public.

Asserting itself «always attentive to this theme», the Municipality of Lagos is once again associated with the event through a program of cultural activities in which the municipality invites the resident and visiting population to participate, namely guided tours of the heritage buildings, gatherings and concerts in monuments and free entrance to the city's various museums.
