An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 (Richter) and whose epicenter was located about 12 km southwest of S.Mateus, in Pico Island, was recorded at the stations of the Azores Archipelago Seismic Network this Tuesday, the 20th, at 20 pm :25 (local time).
This earthquake, according to the information available so far, did not cause personal or material damage and was felt with maximum intensity II (modified Mercalli scale) in the regions of S.Mateus and Madalena on Pico Island.
