Câmara de Silves continues with the free collection service for monos and green waste that it has been running since May 2019.
This service is provided by the municipality in conjunction with the councils and parish unions of the municipality. This is yet another initiative associated with the «Lixo Zero 0 – Ambiente 100» campaign, and aims to raise awareness among all participants of the need to reduce waste and reduce the environmental footprint.
The Câmara de Silves recalls that waste commonly abandoned in public spaces, such as mattresses, appliances and old furniture, constitutes a serious offense punishable by law, in accordance with the Municipal Regulation for the Management of Solid Waste and Urban Hygiene.
