Seomara Cabrita, former trainee of the Centro de Emprego e Formação Profissional do Barlavento of the IEFP, was distinguished at the World Championship of Professions with a medal of Excellence, in the profession of Aesthetics.
The Championship took place in Helsinki, Finland, between the 20th and 23rd of October.
This was the first medal awarded to Portugal in this profession and it is also the first time that the Algarve is represented in the WorldSkills World Championships.
The World Championship for Professions, which was scheduled for Shanghai, was changed and distributed to several countries in Europe, Canada and the United States.
So far, Portugal has won a gold medal, a silver medal and four medals of excellence.
