A 21-year-old man was arrested this Saturday, November 9, in Vilamoura, due to “strong evidence of attempted murder”, with a pistol, the victim being another young man, aged 24.
According to the Judicial Police, the crime took place on September 29, in the municipality of Loulé, following disagreements related to debt issues.
The suspect was accompanied by another person and, in total, three shots were fired, with only one hitting the victim, “causing him serious injuries that would have put his life in danger, had it not been for the prompt intervention of emergency services”, says the PJ. The victim was then taken to the Hospital de Faro.
The suspect, located in Vilamoura, was arrested and it was possible to recover the murder weapon.
Presented to the judicial authorities for the first judicial interrogation, he was subjected to the coercive measure of periodic presentations at a police station.
The inquiry is directed by the Public Ministry, Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of Loulé.
