GNR inspects goods and passenger transport vehicles from today

The operation takes place on the most critical roads and where there is a greater volume of traffic of this type of vehicle

The National Republican Guard (GNR) is carrying out an inspection operation from today until Sunday targeting road transport of goods and passengers, with a view to ensuring safety conditions.

In a statement, the GNR said that the objective of the operation “RoadPol – Heavy goods and passenger vehicles” is to guarantee safe conditions in the transport of people and goods and the detection of infractions.

The operation will be carried out on the mainland on the most critical roads and where there is a greater volume of traffic of this type of vehicle.

Roadpol, of which the GNR is a member and national representative, is an organisation established by the traffic police forces of Europe with the aim of improving road safety and law enforcement on the roads.

“This action aims to raise public awareness of the importance of professional drivers adopting safer behavior, with a view to promoting road safety and safeguarding human lives,” the GNR said in the same note.
