PSD/Algarve says that the Luso-Spanish Summit in Faro it is a "high moment" for the region

The Luso-Spanish Summit will take place at the Fialho Palace, where the Colégio do Alto is located, in Faro

PSD/Algarve considers that the Luso-Spanish Summit, which will take place on October 23, in Faro, it will be a “high moment” for the region that will bring together Prime Ministers Luís Montenegro (Portugal) and Pedro Sanchez (Spain). 

"We hope that the summit will result in, in addition to specific decisions of a national nature, good decisions that will unblock problems that have existed for a long time in the region. We have already communicated which ones we consider to be priorities, now it is time to let the negotiations proceed", says Cristóvão Norte, president of PSD/Algarve.

“It is extremely important that the region be the stage for initiatives at the highest level, whether political, sporting, cultural, academic, business, etc. This gives the region prestige and brings it notoriety. This is also a commitment of ours. We want an Algarve with organizations at the highest level”, he adds.

The Luso-Spanish Summit will take place at the Fialho Palace, where the Colégio do Alto is located, in Faro.

The initiative will see the signing of the recently reached agreement on the flow regime for the final section of the Guadiana River.

On the negotiating table too will be the international administrative agreement between Portugal and Spain that allows progress to be made with the construction of the new bridge between Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana, as well as the railway connection Faro-Huelva-Seville.
