Cláudia Almendra will be at the Municipal Library of Loulé, on the 19th of October, for a workshop for the youngest and training for the general public.
At 10:00 am, the “Salta à Vista” workshop will take place, in which a small pop-up book will be created using cutting and collages. This initiative will involve the exhibition of pop-up books, construction of the leporello book, cutting, collages, construction of the cover and creation of a narrative.
The activity, which lasts two hours, is aimed at children aged 8 and over, accompanied by an adult. Anyone wishing to participate can register in advance via [email protected].
On the same day, at 14:00 p.m., the training “Reinterpretations of Traditional Tales” will take place. Based on the classics of oral tradition, “the aim is to discover new approaches to recreating tales.” The session is divided into a short lecture and moments of work for the trainees, with small tasks, games, interactions…
This training session, aimed at adults, lasts approximately three hours. Participation is free, but places are limited. Advance registration is required via [email protected] . Those who participate will receive a certificate of participation.
Cláudia Almendra, from Flaviense, has been passionate about books since she was a child. She is a trainer in the area of school libraries and children's books. She has a postgraduate degree in children's books and School Library Management, and a master's degree in Art Education, with research on the School Library as a Cultural Center for the School and the Community.
Develops local and national projects in the field of literary and artistic education.
She is a founding member of the Cultural Association Estamos a Pensar, which works in the social and cultural area for the benefit of the community. She is a storyteller, reading mediator and organizer of book workshops.
