The DIBEST Project – Digital Innovation for the Blue Economy and Social Tourism «is aimed at micro-tourism companies in the Atlantic coastal region. The objective is to increase competitiveness and access to markets through digital technology tools and environmental sustainability», according to NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region, which is one of the partners in this project, which is endorsed by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme.

The initiative “provides for a knowledge transfer program that includes: training, webinars, workshops, development plans, mentoring and other actions to enhance business digitalization”.

«One of the main goals of this Project is to create a transnational network of micro-enterprises. Finally, it is important to highlight that the partnership of this Project includes a triple helix: research, tourism and business component, covering a total of twelve partners from Portugal, Spain, France and Ireland. On the Portuguese side, in addition to NERA – Business Association of Entrepreneurs of the Algarve Region, the partnership of this project also includes the University of Algarve – CRIA, Sines Tecnopolo and Turismo do Algarve».

The DIBEST Project – Digital Innovation for Blue Enterprises & Social Tourism, scheduled to end in July 2026, is co-financed by the Interreg Atlantic Area Program, through the European Regional Development Fund.
