Maria Francisca Gama presents “The Scar” at the Castro Marim Library

The presentation of the work will be attended by the author, who will also participate in a book signing session

The young writer Maria Francisca Gama will present her book “A Cicatriz” on October 11th, at 18 pm, at the Municipal Library of Castro Marim.

“The Scar” is a book that makes us reflect on the decisions we make in our daily lives, being “a deep and hard story, written in the first person, that focuses on the finiteness of life, the thoughtless decisions that shape it and the concept of eternal love, with the marvelous city as a backdrop”.

Following on from “A Profeta”, this work tells the story of a couple who went on vacation to Rio de Janeiro, on a trip that promised to be unforgettable.

After some lovely days, bathed in sunshine and a light-hearted spirit, and always enjoying the carioca party, they take advantage of one of their last nights to go out for dinner. When they finish their meal, satisfied and in love, they decide to walk back to the hotel, but they can't remember whether the closest path is to the left or the right.

The presentation of the work will be attended by the author, who will also participate in a book signing session.

Maria Francisca Gama was born in Leiria in 1997 and at the age of 17 she moved to Lisbon and graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

He worked in a law firm and later in a communications agency. He currently divides his time between writing and reading, creative work for others and Portuguese language tutoring.

Entry is free but reservations can be made by calling 281 510 747.
