More than 800 doses of drugs seized in the Algarve last week

370 doses of hashish, 313 of heroin, 137 of cocaine and 18 doses of cannabis were seized in the Algarve last week, between 26 August and 1 September. 

The data on the GNR's operational activity were released today and also report the seizure of four cell phones, two precision scales, two knives, a shotgun and 7 euros in cash.

Between August 26 and September 1, 54 people were arrested, including 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 13 for drug trafficking and 10 for driving without a legal license.

In traffic, 496 infractions were detected: 92 for speeding; 26 due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection; 22 related to anomalies in the lighting and signaling systems; 18 due to lack of civil liability insurance; 16 for improper use of a mobile phone while driving and 11 for lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system.

There were also 130 accidents, resulting in one death, two serious injuries and 19 minor injuries.
