The website of CONVENTUS project will be launched on the 26th, at 17:30 pm, at the Centro Cultural Convento de São José, in Lagoa, to publicize and promote the participatory research work that has been exploring the history and evolution of this building.
«The main objective of the CONVENTUS project is to reveal the multiple stories of the Convent that have never been recorded, crossing documentary archives with the experiences shared by the natural inhabitants and residents of the municipality», describes the Lagoa Council.
With the launch of this website, “it will be possible to access previously unpublished content about the discoveries resulting from this research process, promoting greater knowledge of the region’s historical and cultural heritage. More than just an information platform, the site will allow users to interact, share memories and stories linked to the former convent, strengthening the relationship between the community and its cultural heritage.”
During the launch event, participants will have the opportunity to get to know the website and its features up close and to talk to the team responsible for the project, who will be available to clarify questions and share the motivations behind this initiative.
“This launch marks another important step in the ongoing effort to preserve the collective memory and promote the Convent of São José as a landmark of Lagoa’s identity and culture. Take part in this event and discover new perspectives on the history of this important monument”, according to Lagoa City Council.
