The Algarve Private Hospital, in Gambelas (Faro), will promote a day for cancer patients on October 4th, at the EVA Hotel.
According to André Andraz Cruz, coordinator of the Oncology Department of the HPA Saúde Group and of these conferences, “this is an event that aims to promote self-care and well-being strategies for cancer patients, focused entirely on the person”.
“At the same time, it aims to contribute to health literacy, bringing the Algarve population closer and raising awareness of the need to address the disease, the sick person and their quality of life”, he adds.
The event is aimed at cancer patients, family members, caregivers and the general public and also aims to mark Pink October, the month of breast cancer awareness.
The program includes aesthetic medicine and, in a concrete way, Skincare, oncosexuality, nutrition and physical exercise, all topics that have an impact on the personal empowerment and self-esteem of cancer patients.
The importance of coaching/nurse navigator, as well as first-person testimonies from survivors.
The Onco Health HPA concludes with the availability of three workshops – Skincare and makeup, one showcooking and a physical exercise session – and the registration fee, which costs a symbolic 5 euros, will go entirely to the Algarve Oncology Association.
