A 44-year-old man was arrested on September 14, in the town of Hortas, in Vila Real de Santo António, for possession of two prohibited weapons.
According to the GNR, the man was approached during a random road inspection, having demonstrated “suspicious behavior”.
Following police investigations, a personal security search was carried out on the man, and two hand-made knives were found inside a backpack, adapted to be used as weapons.
The suspect was arrested and charged and the facts were reported to the Vila Real de Santo António Judicial Court.
