Man arrested in Portimão for drug trafficking and document forgery

The detainee will be brought before the Judicial Authority today

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Portimão by the PSP for drug trafficking and document forgery crimes, this Sunday, September 15th. 

The arrest took place as part of a road inspection, in which drugs were found and the existence of two arrest warrants for the suspect was verified, one to serve a 6-year prison sentence for drug trafficking, and another to provide an Identity and Residence Certificate.

The police action resulted in the seizure of 6,35 grams of cocaine, equivalent to 31,75 individual doses, already packaged in individual doses for sale, a mobile phone and 9 euros in cash, "suspected to come from criminal activity", as well as 815 sachets of cutting material.

The detainee will be brought before the Judicial Authority today for the application of coercive measures.
