Tavira Council will help 11 more families in the municipality to pay their rent, in another phase of the Municipal Rental Support Program, which has, so far, helped 60 families.
Aid to these 11 new families will motivate a municipal investment of around 27,5 thousand euros.
This program was created to help “households that find themselves in a situation of actual or imminent housing need and with the economic inability to pay the full rent, within the scope of a rental contract”, according to Tavira City Council.
The support, says the local authority, “is of vital importance so that a growing number of families can continue to fulfill their obligations in a dignified manner”.
“These new families in a situation or at risk of socioeconomic vulnerability and whose family budget does not allow them to afford the rent values currently practiced in the private rental market, will benefit from this support for a period of one year (renewable upon assessment).
