Algarve footballer Lara Pintassilgo signed a contract with Besiktas, from the Turkish Women's First Division, last week, after a short experience at Pyunik, the Armenian champion.
After representing the Armenians in two games in the preliminary phase of the Champions League, a competition from which they were eliminated, the 21-year-old player signed a one-year contract with the Istanbul team, with the option of a further one year.
Besiktas paid a symbolic fee for the transfer of the footballer born in Faro, where he began his career, in the formation of CD Montenegro and Farense.
Lara Pintassilgo won a few titles for Benfica, which she represented for five seasons – including loan spells at Damaiense and Torreense – but was unable to establish herself in the Lisbon team's main team.
Last season, already separated from the “encarnados”, she played for Torreense, in the women's league, with two goals in 20 games.
He has played 72 official matches for senior teams, scoring 17 goals. He has played 16 matches for Portugal's youth teams, from under-23 to under-33, scoring 11 goals.
At Besiktas, provisionally 10th in the Turkish Women's League, with one point after two rounds, the Portuguese player meets her compatriots Inês Maia and Ana Teles at Besiktas.
