Portimão has already drawn 200 houses at controlled costs in Vale de Lagar

Houses are still being built

As 200 cost-controlled houses being built in the Vale de Lagar area, in Portimão, intended for permanent housing, were drawn on the 25th of July, in a public session.

The dwellings drawn are of the types T1 (85 dwellings), T2 (105) and T3 (10), with 358 applications being received. «Of these, the analysis committee excluded 150 and admitted 208, distributed as follows: T1 typology – 106 candidates, T2 – 79 candidates and T3 – 23 candidates», according to Portimão City Council.

«In the first phase of the competition, relating to candidates aged between 18 and 35, there were 74 applications for T1 housing, 34 for T2 and eight for T3. In the second phase, for candidates aged between 36 and 45, there were 16 applications for T1, 33 for T2 and ten for T3. In the third phase, aimed at candidates over the age of 46, there were 16 applications for T1, 12 for T2 and five for T3.

Following the draw, homes were allocated to all admitted candidates aged 18 to 35, in the following types: T1 (74 homes); T2 (33 + one dwelling allocated to a priority candidate, in accordance with the competition regulations); T3 (eight rooms).

As for candidates between 36 and 45 years old, 11 T1 homes were allocated (with five candidates remaining as substitutes), while for the T2 type, four homes were allocated to priority candidates and 29 to the remaining candidates, guaranteeing housing for all candidates. For the T3 typology, two homes were allocated, one of which was the priority candidate, with eight candidates remaining as substitutes.

In relation to candidates over 46 years of age, one-bedroom homes were not allocated, as they had all already been allocated, leaving 1 candidates as substitutes, one of which was priority.

For the T2 typology, housing was allocated to all 12 candidates admitted to the lottery, including one priority. No T3 housing was allocated to the five admitted candidates, who remained as substitutes, including one priority.

To allocate the dwellings, the draw was carried out by housing type, using numbered cards, removed and exposed by the president of the jury, following the criteria of the age of the admitted candidates and the type of sale.

«Effective candidates will be contacted by the promoter GFH – Sunwhere – Real Estate Developer, located at Rua Sidónio Pais, Edifício São Francisco, Loja A, in Portimão, to proceed with the choice of housing according to the order of the draw», added the Chamber.

As provided for in the regulation, «the recipients have a maximum of 90 days to sign the promissory contract for the purchase and sale of the property, being able to request additional clarifications from the services of the Division of Housing, Social Development and Health of the Municipality of Portimão, the operate at number 9 of the Paços do Concelho building, between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm».
