Algarve Jazz Orchestra starts second week of August with free concerts

The Algarve Jazz Orchestra is preparing to start the second week of August with three free concerts. 

The concerts, which begin on the 10th, feature special guest appearances by guests Ana Rita Inácio, on vocals, and Armindo Neves, on guitar. The “Funk it Out” program will also be presented, which covers a journey through Funk in Jazz or other fusions and the themes of Pat Metheny, Tower of Power or Chicago. 

The concert on the 10th takes place at 22pm, at Praça da República, in Tavira, on the 11th, at 22pm, at Largo da Praia do Carvoeiro and d16th, at 21:30 pm, at Jardim das Comunidades in Almancil. 

On the 12th, at 22pm, the Algarve Jazz Orchestra Quintet will present a Herd Bop repertoire, covering themes by different authors, who spanned the golden period from the 00s to the present day.

The concert will be at Praça do Infante, in Lagos, as part of the Book Fair

AnimarTavira24 continues, with the presentation on August 22nd, of the Quintet led by saxophonist Luis Domingos Miguel.

Here, themes from the leader himself and the voice of Clara Buser will be presented. At 22pm, at Praceta Diogo Mendonça Corte Real, in Tavira.

The month ends with the presentation of a Quartet led by saxophonist Ricardo Pires at Festa do Banho 29, in Lagos, on the 29th, at Cais da Solaria, at 20 pm.
