Ferreiras is already preparing for the festive days with another edition of the Feira da Terra e do Petisco, which will take place on the 31st of August and the 1st of September, with traditional cuisine, regional sweets and popular crafts, as well as several concerts musicals like Toy.
The event takes place at Largo da Nora, starting at 19pm, and the highlight of the first night is the performance of GM – Tributo aos Xutos and Pontapés, who feature the Portuguese band's greatest hits. Cristiano Martins is the guest artist to open and close the night.
On the second night, Toy's presence is one of the biggest attractions.
«These events are important because Ferreiras is a parish that has a great centrality, where there are new residents and visitors, and where it is essential that we bring traditions to the street and bring people together, reinforcing the feeling of community», says Jorge Carmo, president of the Ferreiras Parish Council.
The mayor invites «all those who are on vacation in the area, to come and discover Ferreiras, enjoying these two nights of conviviality and entertainment, which will certainly be well spent».
Admission is free.
The Ferreiras Land and Petisco Fair is organized by the Parish Council with the support of the Albufeira Chamber, Ferreiras Local Commerce and Ferreiras Associations.
