Forum Algarve promotes astronomical observations of the Moon

Astronomical observations of the Moon will be led by João Costa, creator of the “Astro Faro"

Forum Algarve will mark the summer nights with astronomical observations of the Moon, which will take place on the 16th and 17th of August, at 21pm.

Free and without the need for prior registration, the activity is part of the «Forum Family Garden», which, until September 8th, will be the meeting point between leisure, with entertainment equipment and live music, and comfort , with zones lounge created exclusively for the occasion.

Astronomical observations of the Moon will be led by João Costa, creator of the “Astro Faro".

The taste for astronomy emerged from an early age, but it was only in 2020 that João Costa, motivated by the confinement imposed by the pandemic situation, purchased his first telescopic and began exploring this activity.

His enthusiasm for astronomical observations led him to want to share them with the public, who can now have this experience at Forum Algarve.

“It is already a tradition for Forum Algarve to mark the summer season with activities for the whole family. This year, we decided to go beyond entertainment equipment and musical offerings, joining the 'Astro Faro' and thus complementing the 'Forum Family Garden' programming”, says Sérgio Santos, director of Forum Algarve.
