Medieval Fair already livens up Silves with music and clothes from the past

Daily medieval processions, duels of Honor and Passion, gastronomy and lots of music are what another Silves Medieval Fair offers, this year with the base theme “Xilb, city of love and heartbreak”. 

The event that shows what life was like in the former capital of the province that today corresponds to the Algarve, Xilb (Silves), began on the 9th of August and lasts until the 17th.

As usual, visitors can count on daily medieval processions, which always start at 18:00 pm, with the Duels of Honor and Passion, which can be seen in Al-Mut'amid Square, at 20:00 pm and 22:30 pm, and with the Oriental Nights , which illuminate Silves Castle with a display of music, dance and fire, at 22:30 pm.
