Ana Paula Martins, president of Tavira Chamber, was elected vice-president of the Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL) yesterday, July 5th, at the ordinary meeting of the Intermunicipal Council.
Ana Paula Martins has been president of Tavira City Council since 2019, when she replaced Jorge Botelho.
In 2021, she was elected president of the Municipality by the Socialist Party.
The vice-presidency of AMAL had been occupied by Osvaldo Gonçalves (one of the two vice-presidents) who, last May, ceased his duties at the Alcoutim Chamber.
The presidency of the AMAL Intermunicipal Council is thus made up of António Pina (president and mayor of Olhão), Rosa da Palma (vice-president and mayor of Silves) and Ana Paula Martins (vice-president and mayor of Tavira).
