VRSA invests 1,5 million in repaving municipal roads

Currently, work is underway to repave the entrance to the city of VRSA, namely Av. dos Firefighters Portugueses, Av. Fernando Salgueiro Maia and Rotunda do Encalhe.

It’s called “Pavimenta VRSA” and it’s a program that will invest a total of 1,5 million euros in the repaving of municipal roads by 2025.

The works aim to «correct the severe state of degradation of many arteries in the municipality, covering, across all parishes in the municipality», says the VRSA Chamber.

“Pavimenta VRSA” was created to improve mobility and road safety and will provide roads in better conditions, benefiting both residents and visitors. In total, around 44 thousand square meters of roads will be repaired throughout the municipality.

The program, already underway on the ground, will also improve pedestrian mobility, facilitate daily transport and contribute to the municipality's economy. Interventions will be carried out in several phases to minimize disruption.

«With 'Pavimenta VRSA', the City Council intends to definitively resolve the problems of roads in poor condition, significantly improving the quality of life not only for the population, but also for those who work and visit the municipality», states the President of the Chamber.

«These works reflect our commitment to the development and modernization of the municipality. No parish has been forgotten and, by 2025, dozens of kilometers of roads will receive a new carpet», continues Álvaro Araújo.

Currently, work is underway to repave the entrance to the city of VRSA, namely Av. dos Firefighters Portugueses, Av. Fernando Salgueiro Maia and Rotunda do Encalhe.

In the coming months, the intervention will extend, for example, to the VRSA industrial zone, the Monte Fino subdivision, Avenida Infante D. Henrique (Monte Gordo), Avenida Manuel G. Rosa Mendes (Cacela) and other streets in the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela.
